A draft from the other night:
I'm watching Big Top Pee-wee in honor of Paul Reubens. It's not nearly as watchable as Pee-wee's Big Adventure, but it's a comfort movie for me, and hey it's free to watch (Amazon Prime).
Paul Reubens... What a loss. Like many other folks my age, I grew up watching Pee-wee - especially Pee-wee's Playhouse. He had a big impact on me. He was like a light in a dark world. It may sound corny, but it's absolutely true.
I actually made a Pee-wee Herman character the last time I was playing around with The Sims 4. It was kinda funny, hehe... For the record, I found I actually hate Sims 4, and much prefer the earlier versions of the game! Maybe I should play Sims 1 again, or maybe Sims 2...
Speaking of gaming, I finally got my copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf to work again! I actually bought another copy of it just the other day! But I finally tried a factory reset on my 2DS and now it works! I'd been thinking it was a faulty cartridge the whole time, don't know why I didn't think to reset it!
I'm almost a year into making my town, Toot!
Also been having fun with some even older video games, but that's for another time! GTG |

| Rambling About Animal Crossing |

Like half of my Animal Crossing island is FUBAR (fucked up beyond all recognition). I had big plans! I was going to make a cul de sac for all my villagers' houses, but it went all wrong! It's so messed up now that I even considered restarting the entire game! But I could never! I've been playing since the game's release in March 2020, so I have two years of progress!
It's going to take a lot of work to unfuck my island. One thing I hate about Animal Crossing: New Horizons is progress is so s l o w! You have to take it square by square, and it takes for-fuckin-ever!
Anyway... I'm totally lost on what to do with my island. I was thinking of a fast food restaurant though. It's been done, but that's honestly for the best because that way I know there will be designs available! |

I've been playing lots of Tetris 99, which is a new release that just came out maybe a week ago. It's free if you pay for a Nintendo membership (or whatever it's called) for your Switch.

It's a battle royale version of the classic Tetris game. The game is played online with 99 players total (hence the title). The object of the game is to be the last player remaining, and there's a big list at the end, and it tells you how you scored.
When I first started playing, I was #86 of 99, but I got better and better with practice! Now, I'm usually able to get below 50 (but not always)! My high score: I got to #9 on the list yesterday! Pretty proud of myself for that, just wish I'd taken a screenshot for posterity! LOL

Haven't played Stardew Valley in a long while! A little intimidated. Might give it another go tomorrow when I'll have time for a good, long sesh. I'll have to do some research tonight in preparation. I caught a fish last time, but like, I don't know how? LOL |

My answer: I still have a few of the more special ones rolled up in a tube somewhere in my closet! The very first poster I remember putting up in my room (as a preteen) was a Sailor Moon poster that I'd gotten in Canada... That's always what I looked forward to most about trips to Canada with my mom - well, besides the quality time with Mom - the Sailor Moon merch!!!
I also had a poster of Glaswegian pop trio Bis (it's in the tube). I loved them so dearly when I was a kid, and the girl in the group, Manda Rin was life inspo for me tbh. They'll always have a place in my heart! 💗
As I got a bit older, about twelve, I started taping pictures of Damon Albarn that I'd cut out of various music magazines to the wall beside my bed! 💋💋 He was my first celebrity crush, and for the record, I still think he's pretty dreamy!
As I get into my actual teenage years, it sort of becomes a blur... Oh, that's right! I had a Blur poster in my teenage bedroom! There were also Oasis posters on my walls, and I think one Pulp poster with Jarvis Cocker (speaking of dreamy!! 😍) standing on some railroad tracks that I managed to get as a hand-me-down from my sister. So yeah, I definitely went through a long Britpop phase! 🇬🇧
I had some Nine Inch Nails posters at some point... But also Spice Girls posters? At the same time! What can I say? I was very confused. 😂 I gotta say though, I really wouldn't want to listen to either of those artists now! If I had to choose? Maybe Spice Girls?!? But I really dunno about that!!

Anyway, I'm totally rambling now! And about things I don't actually give many (if any) fucks about!?! Good question though! Really got me writing! 😃 Also, this weed - Jack of Spades (Jack the Ripper x Ace of Spades)! ♠ Indica-dominant, but totally hitting me like a sativa! |
