Hamantaschen for Mischpocha
Mom and I made hamantaschen today! We made them with cherry filling, and my favorite, mohn (poppy seed) filling. We used this recipe, and tbh they were just ok, but it's kind of a cheat recipe, so what was I expecting? Next time, I'll insist we try this one. Anyway, she's going to take them around to all our family and friends tomorrow.
Here's a photo of our hamantaschen, aren't they pretty? Even if they were rather bland in taste. This photo happens to be mostly the cherries and just a couple mohn up at the top there.
I got so wrapped up in writing about my life and things, that I forgot about Daily Questions for 2022 for well over a week!
5. How far should a government go to prevent its citizens from causing harm to themselves?
That's a very deep question! It's complicated! I can't really answer that right now.
6. If time travel is possible, would we have met time travelers already?
Not necessarily, though I don't believe it is possible.
7. What is something popular now that annoys you?
Many things, but lots of beauty trends are stupid like lips plumped up with fillers, brow lamination, and those ridiculous fake eyelashes that everyone seems to be wearing! This coming from someone who hasn't worn makeup in probably a year... What can I say? I'm over it. Maybe I'll make a post about how much I hate the stuff. LOL, I have feelings.
8. Do you prefer fiction or non-fiction books? Why?
Most of the books I buy (and sometimes even read! LOL) are non-fiction. I guess I just can't really see myself "losing myself" in a made-up story.
9. Do you still seek out new music? What is the best way to discover new music?
I have friends and family members who are in the business and in my opinion have good taste, so I mostly just pay attention when they post about music on social media! Other than them, Spotify, tbqh!
10. What is the most useful app on your phone?
I don't know, Gmail?
11. March 11 is "Worship of Tools Day". What is your favourite tool?
A hammer.
12. How do you think travelling to a lot of different countries changes a person?
That's an interesting question. I don't know though. I'm not well-traveled, but J is.
13. How can technology improve education? Can it hurt education?
IDK.
14. While walking/running/biking/other cardio: music or podcasts or silence?
Music or TV while I use my Cuubi... Haven't done it in ages, tbh.
15. Do you have a Pavlovian response to anything?
No, I don't think so.
