Finished watching I Feel Pretty just a little while ago, and it was ok. There were plenty of laughs, but overall nothing that special. I enjoyed it well enough though.

A few days ago we watched Trainspotting. I tried to watch it once like, ten years ago, but the fast pace and the Scottish accents made it difficult for me to follow, so I didn't get very far into the story before giving up.

This time there were subtitles, which made it a lot easier to understand! Anyway, it was pretty good. I can totally see how it would have been a huge deal in the mid-late 90s. I loved the music, and the way it was used. That scene with "Perfect Day"! Phew!! Intense.

We just discovered this show called Pen15 a few days ago. It's a Hulu Original, and it's pretty good! It was weird at first, watching these two women in their 30s pretending to be 13! LOL We've watched ~8 episodes so far season 1, and we've really been enjoyinged it.

It's mostly a comedy, and it takes place in the year 2000. In that way, I can relate since I was around that age at that time. Anyway, it's good, but not great. I do recommend it though, especially if you like a good coming-of-age story. I think the women who are in it will probably go on to do some great things, they're very funny!

I also caught up on Kidding with my mom the other day, and it's sort of jumped the shark for me. It was great at drawing me in with the first episode or two, but it kind of lost some of its intrigue I think. I'll still gladly watch the next season with my mom though, now that it's kind of "our thing."

The other show Mom and I watched together recently was The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and it was outstanding! The clothes on that show are to die for! But also, it's just a really captivating show, and really well done, and very funny! And we, of course, love the Jewishness of it all! ✡
