I know I'm five days late posting this, BUT:
The Super Bowl! In past years, I couldn't have cared less about it, but this year they aired it on Nickelodeon with Spongebob Squarepants (Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (Bill ____??) doing live commentary! It was hilarious! It was the first time I've ever actually enjoyed a football game. They kept showing "celebrities" in the audience, but they were like, fish versions of the celebs with punny names. It was really funny! And there was lots of slime, of course!
The halftime show was great too! Usher is such a talented performer with so many hits! I was thinking about the early days of his career and the other popular artists around that time, and it occurred to me - he is way more talented than Justin Timberlake! Probably more talented than all five members of NSYNC combined, haha! Anyway, the medley was great and I was groovin'... Rollerskates!! |

Aww, it sounds like it was a lot of fun. I didn't hear about any of the Spongebob stuff until way after cause it feels like no one was talking about it? You're the second person to have mentioned it in my circle for example.
I'm honestly not passionate about any kind of mainstream athletic sports at all (though it's definitely far from triggering when seeing it on TV compared to various other sensitive topics) and pretty much consider single-player gaming my favorite "sport."
i'll have to check it out if it's on youtube or somewhere - i saw bits and pieces of it on twitter BUT to have confirmation from someone that it was actually good is comforting lmao. i don't care about football either and i think it's boring SO something that actually makes it not boring?? i'll try it
the usher tidbit is funny :'D justin was a teen heartthrob, but i can recall more usher songs than his... the last few years halftime shows i think were a bit lacking, but it did get me curious so i watched prince's and michael jackson's halftime shows yesterday and those were both extremely good! so i'll check out his too! | |
