Great Day!

Today has been a really, really great day! I went out for Vietnamese food (my favorite!) with my mom and popped into a nearby record store (if you're a mutual, you know the one), where I picked up the new Queens of the Stone Age album, In Times New Roman... (color: green) and OMG it was everything I hoped it would be and more! So nice I spun it ~~twice~~ thrice!

I would have loved to have gotten to play it even once more, but it got late and our neighbors already don't like us, LOL.

Other than listening to that, I've been watching The Golden Girls and lots of The Simpsons. I've found that season 9 is when it really jumps the shark... But seasons 1-8 are fantastic!

Anyway, I gotta get to bed, it's nearly 4am.

I think Season 9 has some genuine classic episodes but Season 10 is when that shift goes into mediocre.

I just find it insane that, with The Simpsons, we can now EASILY say "there are more bad seasons than good ones."

There are quite a few Simpsons episodes I like that are genuinely funny, but there are certain elements that don't sync well with me, such as the topical humor.

Sometimes comedy doesn't age well because of topical humor, but sometimes it's like fine wine! Just depends.

My personal cutoff point for The Simpsons is not to watch anything past Season 10. (I watched the first episode of Season 11 and was just like... no. x.x) And The Golden Girls is always great! Sometimes I have that on as background while doing other things.
